The Quarantine Conundrum

Another blog post, because it's late (and by "late," I mean "early"), and I can't sleep. Besides #LawSchoolHacks and #AdmissionAids, there's also... Well, me. Me as a law student.

I've been facing a conundrum: to study, or not to study?

I've been so paralyzed lately, with everything that's been going on, and here are the two competing points:

To Study
Not To Study
Pros
You have an obligation to society to do your best in law school so that the mess that we’re in doesn’t happen again in your lifetime, because you will be in a position to do better by society.
You are not obligated to study. You are not obligated to be productive in the midst of a global pandemic and the crisis that goes with it. You must take care of yourself and center yourself so that you don’t go insane (if school hasn’t already).
Cons
Your mental health suffers
Your grades suffer

(In case you can't tell, Strangers Who Don't Read This Blog, I love my tables.)

This post has no resolution, really. It's just the way things are, and I haven't exactly figured out what I have to do yet.

I do have to keep in mind, though, that both points are equally valid--and I move forward from there.
